3rd biennial Catholic Bioethics Conference and Award Ceremony

The Catholic Medical Association of Central Ohio is sponsoring, in collaboration with the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio Dominican University, and the Pope St John Paul II Foundation, our 3rd biennial Catholic Bioethics Conference and Award Ceremony on Saturday April 5 at the Josephenium! (A virtual option is also available). All health care practitioners, priests, religious,  and seminarians. bioethicists, and trainees and students in healthcare are welcome to attend. The day-long conference will include Mass with Bishop Fernandes, lunch, the Award Ceremony (including our annual awards for a physician, non-physician health care worker; local organization; holy family; and medical trainee), and a special recitation of a version of the Hippocratic Oath led by graduating medical students, who will receive a special commissioning blessing before they graduate.
The theme is “Virtue in Medicine,” and national experts in Catholic medicine and bioethics will be speaking on a diverse array of subjects including Catholic approaches to health care disparities, depression, infertility, and gender dysphoria. Continuing education credits are available for physicians, nurses, social workers, counselors, and chaplains. Students who cannot afford the reduced fee may contact jp2cmacolumbus@gmail.com or ashleykfernandes@yahoo.com, and ask for reiumbursement. Seminarians wishing to attend will be sponsored in full by the Cathiolic Medical Association of Central Ohio.
